AMVETS Riders Department of Ohio First Annual Poker Run

 

On Saturday Sept 13 AMVETS Post 148 Medway hosted the First Annual Poker Run for the Department of Ohio AMVETS Riders.
The day started out gloomy with rain and thunderstorms predicted. As the morning progressed though, the weather improved.
The pre-run ceremonies were hosted by District 1 Commander John Childers. Commander Childers presented State Riders President Darrell Robinson and the First Lady Becky Robinson with certificates of appreciation for the exceptional work they have done for the Department of Ohio AMVETS Riders.
The scheduled route was Post 148 Medway to Post 66 Covington, then Post 1789 Brookville, then Post 99 Vandalia, then the final back to Medway. The course was approxiamately 100 miles. The sky cleared and the sun come out. Humidity was high but we still had pleasant weather.
